As a breakout star who pushes the artistic limits of street music, Bronx drill rapper B-Lovee has developed a cult-like following for his raspy vocal tones and embodiment of the city’s timeless tradition of sampling. Growing up in the gritty Bronx streets, B-Lovee rose to notoriety in late 2020 on the back of cult hits like “IYKYK a drill flip on Wayne Wonder’s “No Letting Go”. Last year, Lovee’s unique sound reached a national audience with breakout track “My Everything” grabbing from the Mary J. Blige classic, exploding on TikTok, and eventually earning Top 5 on Urban Radio while nearing gold certification. In April, Lovee released his debut mixtape Misunderstood, home of buzzing singles “Need You (Last Strike)” which samples Nelly’s classic “Dilemma”, “IYKYK”, “Don’t Change” and the “My Everything” remixes from Highbridge rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Chicago all-star G Herbo. After being named Artist To Watch in 2022 by Billboard & Spotify’s Most Necessary, racking up 150 million streams across his growing catalog and earning a spot on this year’s Rolling Loud Miami, Hot 97’s Summer Jam, B-Lovee is making a name for himself in the rap game, in NYC and beyond, as he levels up in a major way.
