Today, acclaimed singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloanreleases her highly-anticipated sophomore album, I Blame The World, out now via RCA Records. Stream the project here.

Written by Sasha and her partner King Henry, the eleven-track project serves as a follow-up to her 2020 critically praised debut, Only Child. Crafted over the past two years and aptly released on Friday the 13th, I Blame The World is a culmination of the all-too-relatable feelings of angst and apathy mixed with Sasha’s signature razor-sharp wit and confessional songwriting style. Self-aware and poignant in its direction – which can be felt in tongue-in-cheek songs like “Live Laugh Love,” “Global Warming,” and the album’s lead single “WTF” – I Blame The World ushers in a bold new era of musicality from Sasha.
“This album was written while I was in a dark place. I started looking more outward than inward and that’s where the theme of the album stems from,” says Sasha of the project. “I wanted to express how I was feeling lyrically, while sonically creating a landscape that felt fun.”
Following the release of previous singles such as “New Normal” and “I Blame The World,” the latter of which she recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, this week Sasha also debuted the music video for the project’s latest single, “Adult.” An ode to the harsh realities of growing up, the clever visual looks at the banalities of adulthood, seeing Sasha do chores, pay bills, knit, and more. Watch the video here.
Earlier this week, Sasha gave fans a sneak preview of the record and the opportunity to get their own frustrations out at a special Rage Room event and Listening Party in Los Angeles. Set at Rage Ground in downtown LA, guests were able to vent by destroying objects, followed by an intimate acoustic performance from Sasha. Watch a recap of the event here.
Sasha also recently announced her forthcoming I Blame The World North American Tourkicking off this summer with Jessie Murph and Slimdan. For tickets and more information, visit here.
