Nicki Minaj and Irving Azoff Lead an All-star Lineup of Artists and Industry Executives Speaking at Pollstar Live! 2020

One of the most powerful, successful, outspoken and disruptive rap artists and businesswomen in the industry, Nicki Minaj, will sit down with Irving Azoff, Chairman and CEO of The Azoff Company and personal manager of Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Van Halen, among others, in an exclusive Keynote Conversation at Pollstar Live! 2020, the world’s largest gathering of live entertainment industry professionals. The flagship event for Pollstar magazine, the leading trade for the global live entertainment industry, is slated to be the largest live music conference in the company’s history.

An unprecedented number of movers and shakers of the global live entertainment industry will gather at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, beginning on February 4 with Production Live!, the operations and production-centric element of the confab, and culminating on February 6 with the 31st Annual Pollstar Awards, hosted by Whitney Cummings.

Minaj and Azoff join a stellar lineup of artists and industry executives who will appear at Pollstar Live! Among headlining artists scheduled to speak at the conference are Creed frontman and solo artist Scott Stapp, in a candid discussion entitled “Scott Stapp: Back In The Game” with Ray Waddell, President of Media & Conferences for Oak View Group (Pollstar’s parent company), and latest keynote addition, rising country superstar Chris Young, as he prepares to embark on a massive summer tour. Industry executives speaking at the conference include C3 PRESENTS founders Charles Attal, Charlie Jones, and Charlie Walker; Ali Harnell, President/Chief Strategy Officer of Women Nation, Live Nation; Lesley Olenik, Vice President, Global Touring, Live Nation; Neil Warnock, Global Head of Touring, UTA; Jeffery Azoff, Full Stop Management; Zoë Sonquist King, SVP Brand Partnerships & Development, Paradigm; Dan Berkowitz, CEO & Founder, CID Entertainment; Tariq Cherif, Co-founder, Rolling Loud Festival; Ethiopia Habtemariam, President, Motown Records; Michelle Jubelirer, COO, Capitol Music Group; Brad Wavra, SVP, Touring, Live Nation; David Zedeck, Global Head of Music, UTA; Rob Beckham, The AMG; and many others.

“We talk about ‘the rule of threes’ in relation to the opening keynote with the C3 Presents founders, but that rule really is pervasive at Pollstar Live! 2020,” said Waddell. “We are proud to host three brilliant headliners from three different genres at three distinctively different moments in their respective careers. When you throw in a real youth movement in our Rainmakers sessions, and best-ever programming for Production Live!, this will be the three days of programming unequalled in the world of live entertainment business conferences.”

Production Live!, the production/transportation-focused kickoff of the annual gathering, will take on the production side of the industry, with topics on technologically-enhanced live events, maximizing rehearsals, the latest technology in sound, lights and video, and more, delivered from tour managers, production managers, lighting directors, stage managers, and touring professionals.

Presented by Live Nation on February 6, the 31st Annual Pollstar Awards concludes the Pollstar Live! Conference and honors the highest achieving tours, venues, artists, events, executives, and companies from 2019 in the thriving global live entertainment business. Among the artists nominated, as selected by the industry, are The Rolling Stones, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Eric Church, P!NK, Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Billy Joel, Carrie Underwood, Drake, Garth Brooks, Jennifer Lopez, Jonas Brothers, Lady Gaga, Maná, Metallica, Travis Scott, Greta Van Fleet, Kacey Musgraves, Lizzo, Luke Combs, Maggie Rogers, and many more. The 31st Annual Pollstar Award nominations were selected by the largest, most diverse, and most international nominating committee in the history of the awards. As a result, this year secured 29% more nomination submissions.
