Today, South London singer/songwriter Cat Burns reveals her highly anticipated EP, emotionally unavailable, via Sony Music UK/RCA Records.

Underpinned by honest lyrics and undeniable hooks, emotionally unavailable explores the complex feelings people experience when going through the ebb and flows of mental health journeys, friendships, commitment, and abandonment issues – topics close to the lyricist’s heart. Detailing her journey in an in-depth and profound way, emotionally unavailable displays Cat’s blossoming artistry and showcases her maturity as a singer/songwriter.

When speaking about the inspiration for her brand-new EP, Cat Burns says, “I wanted to create a personal yet relatable EP where I express the different ways you can be ‘emotionally unavailable’ in this generation.”

The six-track EP features new offerings, including the melancholic “learnt to love goodbyes,” “anxiety,” and fan-favorite “ghosting.”Dedicated to a friendship breakup, “we’re not kids anymore” encapsulates the somber feeling when childhood friends are no longer as close as they were. Title track “emotionally unavailable” and her viral smash hit “go” complete the project.

Breaking into the Official Charts in the UK for the first time in her career with “go,” the breakup anthem is now #3 on the Official Singles Chart and has garnered over 55 million Spotify streams. Recently touring with Mae Muller and Years & Years, this fall sees Cat Burns supporting Ed Sheeran on his European tour run before headlining KOKO in London on October 4.
